Juggernaut Kid aka Nigel Butler is a very accomplished media composer, having composed music for trailers, TV, idents, ads and brands.
His trailer work includes Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, with his remix of The Who’s ‘The Seeker' clocking up over 23 million views on Youtube. Also notable is his collaboration with Sharon Van Etten covering ‘What A Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong which has featured in the trailer to the movie Geostorm & in the Netfilx show, the OA. Juggernaut Kid’s latest release is his 14 track album of cover versions and original tracks, including a completely new re-imagining of the Mansun song ‘Wide Open Space' featuring the Mansun vocalist himself Paul Draper on vocals.
Outside of his epic trailer music Nigel Butler is very much in demand as a songwriter, arranger and mixer. He has honed his craft over the years clocking up several top ten singles , including a number one single (Dizzy Rascal/James Corden) and many collaborations with talents as varied as Adrian Sherwood, KD Lang, Phil Manzanera and Simon Cowell (though not all on the same record!).
His TV work includes X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, the 2016 Olympics coverage and the National Television Awards, which he has been music consultant since 2010. Nigel has completed numerous bespoke placements for ITV, BBC, MTV, Sky, SyFy, UKTV, GOLD, Channel 5, 5*, My5, E4 & Channel 4/AMC as well as various ad campaigns including co-writing and co-producing the extremely long Alesha Dixon-fronted Weight Watchers TV Ad ‘Do It Our Way (Play)’ for Saatchi & Saatchi which is reported to be the second longest British TV ad in history.
